Text Entered Into the Counters

WordsAnalyzer calculates words, characters, sentences, paragraphs, and estimated reading time in your browser. The counter code does not upload your text or send it to an analytics service.

Drafts are not saved by WordsAnalyzer. The Clear action temporarily keeps one copy in page memory for Undo. Copy places text on your clipboard when requested, and Download creates a local text file. Closing or reloading the page can lose your draft.

Your browser, extensions, clipboard tools, or device settings may have their own data practices. WordsAnalyzer does not control those tools.

Word Finder Searches

The Word Finder downloads a static English word list from this website when you first search. Matching happens in your browser. Entered letters and filters are not uploaded, stored in local storage, added to URLs, or sent to analytics. The list may be cached by your browser; searches stay only in page memory and are cleared on reload. Copying a word places it on your clipboard when requested.

Theme Preference and Browser Storage

WordsAnalyzer stores your chosen light or dark theme under wordCounterTheme in local storage. It does not put the editor's text in local storage. You can remove the preference through your browser's site-data settings.

The site code does not set cookies. If browser storage is unavailable, the counter still works and your theme choice lasts for the current page.

Fonts and Website Requests

The site loads Montserrat from Google Fonts. Your browser contacts Google's font servers to retrieve the stylesheet and font files. Those requests include network information such as your IP address; the counter does not include your editor text in them.

See Google's Privacy Policy for its handling of requests. Your browser also requests pages and assets from the website host. Host-level logging and retention depend on the hosting service and are not controlled by the counter code.

Analytics and Advertising

The current site code includes no analytics, session recording, advertising, or tracking scripts. Editor text is not collected for traffic measurement. If those services are introduced, this policy must describe the actual changes before they are enabled; text inputs must remain excluded from analytics and recordings.

This is separate from the browser-based tools, which do not upload your writing for processing. There is no on-site message form. Please avoid including private drafts or sensitive personal information in a support request.
